I have added a feature to the SimGlobalButtons Template (after a user request) that allows one to exclude procedures from the automatically setting of button icons and options throughout an application.

The SimGlobalButtons templates provide a central point where one can set standard dimensions, standard icons, standard tooltips, and standard button text for the standard buttons that are created by Clarion when browses and update forms are generated. In other words, you can set these standard parameters for Insert, Delete, Change, View, Select, Cancel, Close and OK buttons, and on compiling the application they are set automatically throughout the app.

Simplified Software

Urgent Fix: The “Enter” key were not firing the selected button sometimes.
NeatMessage is a Message Box replacement from Huenuleufu Development. You don’t need to change -anything- in your program to take immediate advantage of this product. The template makes use of the message hook to directly replace your regular Message() calls. NeatMessage may replace STOP() and HALT() as well.

J-Depends! Another $15 product from Strategy
I’m sitting on a huge amount of code that I’ve written over the years, some of which I think might interest other developers, and some of
which can easily be leveraged to create other useful little tools. Some of this code is going to find its way into a series of new $15 products which I’ll be releasing over the coming weeks.

J-Zip was the first such product (released yesterday). Today I’m releasing a new product called J-Depends!

This is a useful little template that easily hooks your APPs up to the (free) Dependency Walker tool (included with Visual Studio for the
past decade or so, but also available as a FREE download), which can generate comprehensive log files about your EXE, your end-users’ systems, your EXE’s dependencies, their paths, etc.

It’s a really easy (yet very powerful) way for your users to send you information about what’s happening on their systems, which can help you to debug problems.
